This is a class on occultism, and we’ll be covering various subjects and reading through scriptures to understand why we fall into destructive patterns of thinking, speaking, and acting. I will present scripture on practices that are not scriptural and are occultic, but it’s ultimately up to you to decide if you need to get rid of them.

Occultism

• 1 Corinthians 6:12 - All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
• Idolatry is about feeling like we need things in our life other than God.

The problem people have with giving up certain practices is not informational but stems from the spirit of idolatry. The scripture First Corinthians 6:12 explains how things that are lawful can become an evil thing when they control us. The key is not to be brought under the power of anything.

While I will present scripture on practices that are not scriptural, it’s ultimately up to you to decide if you need to get rid of them. The first step is recognizing there’s something wrong and having a heart-to-heart prayer with God to let go of these things and instead join Him with what His Word states.

What is Occultism based in? Traditions of men.

• Colossians 2:4 – And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
• Colossians 2: 6-8 - As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Occultism is based on the philosophies and traditions of men and vain deceit.
The traditions of men become a part of occultism when people start believing mystical things about where the information and knowledge came from. It’s important to recognize that traditions are simply ideas passed down from generation to generation.

Religious catechisms and generational iniquity compete with the Word of God and can solidify false beliefs. We must choose whether to follow these traditions or align with the Word of God. This is the dividing line around occultism.

Satan used to be Lucifer the archangel who said in his heart, ‘I will be….’

• Ezekiel 28:15 -Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
• Isaiah 14:13-14 - For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Satan was once called Lucifer, the archangel, and was perfect until iniquity was found in his heart. Ezekiel 28:15 and Isaiah 14:13-14 describe how Lucifer wanted to exalt himself and become like the Most High God.

These are major components of occultism and false religions that entice us with the idea of self-empowerment and attaining righteousness on our own, which goes against Scripture. Satan wants us to see ourselves no longer as the creation, but now as a creator. To be above human, to become a god or God-like. Satan still uses these lies today.

Satan is the God of this world.

• 2 Corinthians 4:4 - In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Satan tries to give us bait that looks like a good food source, but in the end we are hooked like a fish being reeled in to a demon that is pulling us towards their demonic desires opposite of God’s desires.

Satan’s agenda is to counterfeit God

• Deuteronomy 6:4 - Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
• To counterfeit the will of God as the Father so we are living contrary to God.
• To counterfeit the words of God, to give us a new message/gospel, a false Jesus.
• To counterfeit the actions of God so that we believe it’s the work of the Holy Ghost, but it can be false.
• Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Satan kingdom doesn’t come to us in green smoke and an ugly face.
Most times it’s a very subtle thought and Satan’s kingdom wants us to think the thought is our own, but it isn’t.

Automatic Handwriting is a Gateway for Demons

• Automatic handwriting is a practice where whatever thought comes to mind is written down without editing or discernment.
• Dreams and visions can also be a hotbed for a false Holy Ghost.

Carl Jung used automatic handwriting to communicate with spirit guides who taught him. Carl Jung’s spirit guides are responsible for paving the road to inner healing practices in churches. That is for another teaching. Automatic handwriting allows evil spirits to join in and write their thoughts through the person’s hand.

Satan wants us to be focused on highly symbolic dreams and descriptions of strange images that could be fed to us by demons. If you write anything and are surprised by it, or you are trying to have dreams and visions, beware as Satan’s kingdom will swoop in and give you something that will speak to you.

False religions offer a form of godliness but removes basic principles of the Kingdom.

• 2 Timothy 3:5 - Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Satan always mixes truth with error. It’s very effective. The reason why you find truth in false religions is because that truth is the bait Satan uses to lure people into something occult. So the key is to have God’s discernment from His Word so that when you hear a truth you can keep following it until the conclusion.

For instance, you might hear somebody say, You need to forgive everybody, because we’re all part of the universe and all part of the same energy. And you say that first part, I agree, we should forgive everybody, but their reason for doing so and that we should join is not in the Bible. It is therefore occult.

The Heart of Occultism

• When we place a person or spirits as our source of help for needs in our lives, we have turned away from God and we have turned to occultism.
• If you are consulting horoscopes, pyschics, Ouija boards, new age, crystals, other humans, and spirits for your future, you’ve opened a door to evil spirits.
• When you are doing those things, you are not looking in the Word of God to see what your Heavenly Father has to help you.

What is Divination?

• Divination is the process of divining to get information. This is a counterfeit Holy Ghost.
• There are many methods that people use to get information (divination) that are occult.

One of the previous methods mentioned is automatic handwriting. When someone does this activity, a spirit of divination will join them to give them their own rapid inner demonic thoughts. We don’t need to be afraid of thoughts. But we do need to inspect our thoughts against what the Bible says.

We always need to consider, what is the conclusion of our thoughts. Does the Bible support the conclusion of our thoughts or does the Bible reject the conclusion? If the Bible rejects the conclusion, we need to repent and renounce those thoughts and tell the spirit to leave us.

Some Signs You may Be Dealing with Divination

• A pattern of need to know more info always.
• Person is always collecting info, but not growing up from that info. There’s no fruit from the info.
• Can’t say awake in church or when reading the Bible.
• Might want to argue with someone when someone is reading the Bible or teaching from the Word.

Denying that healing is for today comes out of an antichrist spirit (against Christ).

• 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 - And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

And this is not God condemning people. God will give us over to whatever we choose to follow, if it's not God and His Word. That's what happens.

What does anti-christ really mean? I’m not talking about Revelations and the end of the world when Jesus comes back. I’m talking about an antichrist spirit. So Antichrist means any spirit that is against Christ. So anything that tries to explain away or be against what Jesus did when he was on this planet, or tries to deny or argue with what the Bible says, is anti christ. Simple.

Occultism may be generational

• Free Masonry
• 1 John 4:3 - And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Now, some of us have backgrounds coming out of false religions. I know I do.
Anyone coming out of England and Germany have Drudeism in their background or Freemasonry, which is a false religion.

Freemasonry refuses to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Messiah come in the flesh as a man. Albert Pike, writing in Morals and Dogma, states that Jesus “put on the appearance of a human body and took the name of Christ in the Messiah, only to accommodate itself to the language of the Jews … He suffered in appearance only …” (Pages 567-568, teachings of the 26 Degree)

So the spirit in Albert Pike responsible for that passage of Morals and Dogma for Freemasonry was an antichrist spirit. We see this from 1 John 4:3.

Talking with the Dead

• Some of you may have been involved in Eastern mysticism, channeling conjuration, spiritualism and communication with the dead.

If you have been in communication with the dead or talking with dead ancestors, you have been talking to devil's impersonating your dead ancestors, because there's a great gulf. You can't cross over here to earth after you die.
This is something very insidious and it sneaks in small ways into the church.

Athletes will sometimes say, "Oh, when I ran that race or competed in that game, it was as if I could just feel or hear my dad, mom, or other relative that is dead." That’s an evil spirit, not their relative. Or someone sees or hears a dead relative or a ghost in the house. That is not a ghost or a dead relative. That is an evil spirit.

Yoga

If you have been involved in Yoga, you have a spirit guide within you. Yoga and Krishna yoga is a meditative state that has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit. It's not about God.

Trusting God gives us true peace

• John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
• Isaiah 26:3 - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

1. What disrupts our peace?

What disrupts our peace are usually evil spirits. Spirits of fear, bitterness, rejection, and many other evil spirits disrupt and remove our peace. These and other spirits could be what you are struggling with. This is the first part of why we need to repent and have things cast out of us so that those evil spirits won't remove our peace.

2. God joins us in a situation.

This is why it's important to have faith and trust God, to work with us, that will give us peace in the midst of our circumstances. This is the peace that God gives us. Many times we do or in the past looked to many things for a false short-term peace such as sorcery, witchcraft, pharmakeia, drugs, spiritual bewitchment, and meditative states, to modify our chemistry.

Opioids

• Opioids are so dangerous because many times people have taken these because of an injury and have extreme pain.

Opioids make people feel better because the opioid receptors get relief. The problem is that opioid receptors are not limited to just that one part of the body where the physical pain is. There are opioid receptors all over the body. The person taking opioids feel better emotionally so they become addicted easily. In a proper sense the way we can actually have our peace is when we repent of sin. We grow in that relationship with God, then we can actually feel, not just physically, but even spiritually, and emotionally, we feel better.

Meditative states and the blanking of the mind is not biblical

• 2 Corinthians 10:5 – Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
• Philippians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Anytime you go into a meditative state, meditation, where you're not thinking and your mind goes blank, you're an open vessel for devils. This is because you can't hold every thought captive if you let your mind go blank. If you're just trying to blank out your mind, you're not aware of what's speaking to you in that moment.

And that’s why it’s so popular in the world, Satan give you a temporary fix where it seems like you have peace when you meditate and blank out your mind, but what you’re not aware is that Satan kingdom is pouring and your condition will become worse and worse.

That’s also why breathing techniques, meditation, and yoga is so dangerous to young minds. It is Satan’s plan that it is becoming so popular in schools.
Kids have practically no defense to all these evil spirits coming in their minds and bodies.

Kundalini

• Yoga is founded in the waking of Kundalini from the base of the spine to successive chakras of enlightenment.

Kundalini is like another pair of eyes on top of your head. When you turn your head, it turns with you. The spirit of Python can curl in your spine, and kind of come up in your spine.

TESTIMONY about a person that had a Kundlini python/divination spirit:
“It really did feel like something was in my back. Even when I would sleep, I just found that I would toss and turn a lot. Like I could just never get comfortable. And since I got rid of that spirit, divination, I found that I was able to sleep better at night, on my back. I'm just more comfortable lying in place.

But spirits of divination can disrupt your sleep due to feeling like something is in your back.

You can feel it sometimes. They can also be coiled in your abdomen.

Blessings are automatic when we are doers of the Word

• Deuteronomy 28:2 - And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

You don't have to worry about blessings because they're yours automatically, if you're a doer the word.

Satan uses the Word of God out of context in order to pervert the Word.

• 2 Timothy 2:15 – Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Churches are open to spiritual things that are not right. They're so desperate to hear God, and so desperate to be healed and be blessed. But when a church does not understand blessings, and cursings, they will open their hearts to anything.

Satan uses the word of God out of context. He perverts it and changes it. He knows the Word God better than we do. So he's trying to change what we understand. Satan perverts the Word and because it sounds right, we follow it. This is not rightly dividing the word of truth. We need to be able to find it in the scriptures for ourselves.

Python is the spirit of divination – counterfeits the Word of God drawing attention to itself.

• Acts 16: 16-18 – And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

Now, remember, going back to that divination thing in the Strong’s concordance, the Greek language, the word Python, the spirit of Python, is translated in English as divination. They're one in the same. Python is a spirit of divination.
The woman in Acts 16 had a spirit of Python or divination within her.
It was the same spirit that was in the Oracle of Delphi in ancient Greece.
It is a spirit that counterfeits the Spirit of God and draws attention to itself.
What is interesting is that this can even be in the church.
The young girl who had a spirit of divination spoke the truth, but her purpose was not to glorify God, it was self-promotion.

Inner Healing can involve ungodly principles

• Hypnosis and the power of suggestion type therapies are occultic.
• Repentance from dead works is the biblical answer
• Visions and dreams are different

Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Acts 18:9-10 - Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Galatians 1:8-9 -But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Some inner healing models involve hypnosis, which relies on the power of suggestion.

People may be asked what Jesus or the Holy Spirit is saying to them, but what they hear may not be from God at all.

There is no evidence in Scripture that Jesus has ever appeared in the mind consciousness of any human.

When Jesus appeared to Paul, it was as a blinding light, and His voice was heard externally by others (Acts 26:13-15).
Visions, like the one Paul experienced, are external, not internal.
We're not about conjuring up Jesus to heal memories.
It's about repentance from dead works dealing with these spirits so that we might be healed.

After repentance and deliverance, we’ll able to follow God more correctly.
We might have inherited all sorts of things, Druidism or other ones.
If we've opened our hearts up to these things, it's important to understand that spirits of occultism have come into us.

MINISTRY

So, if you repeat after me.
Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus.
I recognize take responsibility in my life, and in my generations for spirits of error, spirits of idolatry, deaf and dumb spirits, spirits of divination, and spirits of occultism.

I repent and renounce for serving them and I ask you for forgiveness.
I receive my forgiveness for serving the spirits.
Thank you, LORD, and deliver me from these.
I'm going to cast them out right now.
In the name of Jesus, I take authority over spirits of error, spirits of idolatry, deaf and dumb spirits, spirits of divination, spirits of occultism and I cast you out right now.

I command you to leave right and let the people of God go, Jesus name.
I pray for everyones’ bodies to come back into homeostasis and peace.
And Father, I pray that You would also work with them day by day, to learn how to trust you, instead of trying to find a way to feel secure in themselves, through knowledge, through mystical experiences, whatever that might be.
Father, I pray that you would bring us all back to a place of peace and simplicity, to trust you in relationship, to trust your word.

I pray that if they've had any issues around reading scriptures or understanding what your Word says that any confusion would be removed, and that they would be able to read and understand and grow that relationship with you, even in their prayer life as well. In Jesus name, Amen.
