The Glorious Gift of Tongues

Teaching on the Glorious Gift of Tongues - Glossa - Spiritual Warfare Tool in Deliverance Against Demons

I teach on how the Holy Spirit has provided His servants with a tool of warfare second to none. It’s the glorious gift of Tongues (Gk./Glossa). See how you can receive this gift and use it for edification and to destroy the strongholds of Satan.

The Holy Spirit has provided His servants with a tool of warfare second to none. It’s the glorious gift of Tongues (Gk./Glossa). Glossa is a supernatural language that the recipient did not learn. It was given to them by the Holy Spirit. It is a gift that comes from inside the spirit of man where the Holy Spirit dwells and does not come from the mind of man. The initial reception of this gift can be dramatic or mild.

It is a language (known or heavenly) that the person did not learn on their own. You cannot be “taught” to speak in Glossa. They are words coming out of the spirit man and the mind cannot understand them. It is a secret prayer language demons and Satan cannot interpret. They don’t know what you are praying but the Holy Spirit does. It has many spiritual advantages, as we shall discover.

Glossa and How it Can Be Used

• For Public
• For Personal Edification

In I Cor. 14 the great apostle Paul outlines the advantages of Glossa. First, he delineates the difference between the Gift of Glossa to be used in giving messages from God in public gatherings from the personal edification Gift of Glossa. Few Christians have the gift of public gatherings but all Christians can have the personal edification gift if they choose to.

1 Corinthians 14:2 - For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.

The personal edification Gift of Glossa allows the person to speak directly to God and speak spiritual mysteries not understood by humanity (vs. 2).

1 Corinthians 14:4a - One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself;

It allows the person to edify (oikeodomeo/build up a home or structure) themselves spiritually (vs. 4, Jude 1:20).

Jude 20 - But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

1 Corinthians 14:5a - Now I wish that you all spoke In tongues,

Paul wants everyone to speak personal edification Glossa (vs. 5).

It is inappropriate to come to someone and communicate directly in Glossa without the interpretation (vs. 6-12). Unless God is somehow directing you to do this because He is going to communicate in a language they know that you do not know. This is more of a as need basis by God. It is not a common and regular occurrence.

If that is done, the person speaking Glossa should pray for the interpretation (vs. 13).

1 Corinthians 4:14 - For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.

When you pray in Glossa your spirit is praying and your understanding (nous/mind) cannot understand what you spirit is saying (vs. 14).

1 Corinthians 4:15 - What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also.

We are to pray with the mind and pray with the spirit (Glossa). We are to sing with the mind and sing with the spirit (glossa, vs. 15).

1 Corinthians 14:16 - Otherwise if you bless in the spirit only, how will the one who fills the place of the ungifted say the "Amen" at your giving of thanks, since he does not know what you are saying?

Glossa is a blessing to your spirit man (vs. 16).

1 Corinthians 4:18 - I thank God, I speak in tongues more than you all;

Paul was a professional Glossa speaker (vs. 17).

1 Corinthians 14:21 - In the Law it is written, "BY MEN OF STRANGE TONGUES AND BY THE LIPS OF STRANGERS I WILL SPEAK TO THIS PEOPLE, AND EVEN SO THEY WILL NOT LISTEN TO ME," says the Lord.

Paul explains that the Gift of Glossa was predicted by the great prophet Isaiah (28:11-12).

1 Corinthians 14:23 - Therefore if the whole church assembles together and all speak in tongues, and ungifted men or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are mad?

Indiscriminate Glossa in groups can confuse unbelievers (vs. 23).

1 Corinthians 14:27 - If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be by two or at the most three, and each in turn, and one must interpret;

The public edification Gift of Glossa has restrictions. There are to be no more than 3 public messages in Glossa per service and someone with the Gift of Interpretation must be present (vs. 27).

1 Corinthians 14:28 - but if there is no interpreter, he must keep silent in the church; and let him speak to himself and to God.

If an Interpreter is not present in the meeting the person is to give the message in Glossa to themselves & God only (vs. 28).

1 Corinthians 14:32-33 - and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets; for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

The Gift of Glossa (public and private) can be controlled by the person (vs. 32).

Examples of the Gift of Glossa can be found in Acts 2, 8, 10, 19.

Glossa and Research

Modern science has proven I Cor. 14 to be a medical fact thru brain research. In 2006 the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine discovered that when a person is using Glossa they are not using the normal language portion of the brain (frontal lobes). They found it to be at rest. In 2010 Oral Roberts University discovered that when a person is using Glossa the brain releases two chemical secretions into the immune system increasing it’s efficacy up to 40% (probably tearing down strongholds and therefore, promotes healing in your body).

Remarkably, it comes from a portion of the brain that has no other function in the human body. It is only activated by Glossa. This is what Paul meant when he noted that Glossa allows his spirit man to pray and his understanding (mind/nous) is unfruitful. Glossa gives rest and health to the participant.

Used for Other Gifts

When you have received your Gift of personal edification Glossa, you are to use it constantly throughout the day and develop it into a powerful prayer language and anointing magnet. It is the conduit God uses to download the other Gifts of the Spirit into your spirit man.

Mix It Up

Mix your Glossa sessions up like a pitcher in baseball. Go slow, fast, soft, loud, whisper, speed it up and slow it down. Be gentle and be aggressive. Always include singing in Tongues.

Worship To God

It is God’s favorite kind of worship. As you develop this gift you will notice that you are becoming spiritually stronger. Someone’s gift can limited, stilted, or even demonic. That can be cast out. God gave you Glossa to strengthen and anoint you for the war ahead. It will make your a spiritual powerhouse. Move forward. It’s your time now.

Lesson Practice Action:

If you are able, start speaking in Tongues off and on all day. The demons hate it. The Holy Spirit interprets the language and applies it to your needs (I Cor. 14:2, 4, 14, 15, 18, 32, 39).

Speak in tongues, sing in tongues, and worship God freely throughout everyday and throughout the week.

Immediately stop complaining and blaming yourself and others (Mt. 6:14-15, James 4:11). It will block your healing and deliverance in it's tracks.

If you do not speak in tongues, start meditating on Acts 2:38 and recognize it is a gift from God for you. Worship throughout the day and ask God for it with faith knowing and trusting that God will give you the gift of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues.

Utilize faith in advance and thank God for when you will receive the gift.

Read Hebrews 11:6 and see how God will reward those that diligently seek God.
